WINNER · 4 FINALISTS · TOP 12

Winner · Cameron Moody
USA
“I am elated that I was chosen as the winner of the 2023 ScoreLive Competition. I accept the award with great pleasure. I am also definitely going to attend the Summer Program this July.”

“Incredible all the way. Maybe the final confrontation could benefit from making it more action music, with a clear beat, and bigger build up.”
"Zacarias M. de la Riva

Finalist · Andrzej Gładkowski
Poland
"I would like to thank you! I'm really glad, hearing this news, knowing that I am a finalist in the ScoreLive Competition 2023.”

“
“Great start, works nicely overall, at 01:38, till Tad gets taken by hook could benefit from a bigger buildup, also the ending part could be a little more epic, feels from 2:44 till 2:57 like is just a tremolo getting bigger, would like to hear something else happening in the music to give it some spice!”
Zacarias M. de la Riva

Finalist · Ramin Velibekov
Azerbaijan
"First I want to thank you all for this opportunity and appreciation. Special thanks to you Nigel, Dr. Molina, Dr. Menini and of course, Maestro Zacarías M. de la Riva, for the appreciation and voting for my composition.”

“Careful with the mix, music is too loud. Apart from that, it all works really well, nice action music, really keeps the pace forward, it sometimes sounds too close to original”
Zacarias M. de la Riva

Finalist · Nikolai Norevik
Norway
“Wow, what a great honour! This made my day! I have my bragging rights, my certificate and will carry this honour with me moving forward in my journey as an aspiring composer. Thank you for the superb competition (had so much fun writing this), and for deeming my piece worthy of being a finalist. Truly a highlight of my composer journey so far.”

“Really close to being the winner. Great start, filled with action, really takes the scene forward, wouldn't use the fanfare when policewoman talking on radio at 00:41, would rather wait just a bit till 00:45 when we see Tad and friends escaping, great change of pace when we see the tour, probably would need music to be a little more epic at 01:48, nice comic relief at the end”
Zacarias M. de la Riva

Finalist · Nicolò Braghiroli
Italy
“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the nomination. I am deeply honoured and humbled to be considered for such an incredible opportunity”

“Great start, filled with action,, 01:35 the cymbals feel a little early, at 01:38, till Tad gets taken by hook could benefit from a bigger buildup, at 01:47 music should change a bit to reflect whats happening on screen, also the final confrontation could be a little more epic.”
Zacarias M. de la Riva

Top 12 · Arthur Troch
Belgium
"Hello Nigel
!!! I’m so happy to hear all this good news !!!, Thank you!”

Great start, nice use of harmony, mock up could sound more polished overall. too chromatic writing for me,,,but a special well done to this composer”
Zacarías M. de la Riva.

Top 12 · Will Rixon
UK
“I was SO utterly delighted to be in the top 12 of this contest. It was a real challenge for me and I genuinely learned a lot. Thanks so much for the opportunity and also the great feedback about my composition from judge Zacarías M. de la Riva.”

“Careful with the mix, music is too loud. Don’t know if i like the use of drums and guitars overall, it feels like it doesn't belong in Tad's musical universe, but probably its just me not being use to it”
Zacarias M. de la Riva

Top 12 · Pietro Stiglio
Italy
"Thank you for the beautiful news! Thank you for acknowledging the effort I put in my work, and for the opportunity you gave me by rewarding me and inviting me at this amazing summer program. I’ll do my best to make the most out of this chance”

“Too much on the comic side, needs more action overall, leaving too much space to sound effects, music needs to fill the emotions more, the final confrontation needs to be bigger, telling us that we are approaching the end, would
continue music till end of video”
Zacarias M. de la Riva

Top 12 · Max Hills
UK
"Thanks so much for choosing my piece as part of the top twelve, it's a real honour! It was a great competition and I look forward to hearing some of the other entries.”

“I like the build up to Tad putting bathtub together at beginning. but needs to be more driving from then on, the music has to reinforce in a more vigorous way what is happening on scene. It sometimes feels a little soft. And I would avoid the starts and stops as much as possible,,, keep the pace going”
Zacarías M. de la Riva

Top 12 · Mathieu Ben Hassen
France
"I received the certificate and award and I was so excited and glad. Thanks again for everything ! It was super fun to participate and watching Tadeo Jones was just a delight :-)”

“It feels too much on the soft side, too comical, it needs to be more "action" music overall, it feels like to many starts
and stops. Sometimes it is best if we don't catch with music everything we see on screen, and just let the music
keep the pace, also the final confrontation need to be much more epic”
Zacarías M. de la Riva

Top 12 · Mario Ochoa
Sweden
“I’m so extremely grateful for the opportunity and I’m still over the moon about being awarded a spot in the top 12! It is a great motivation to keep working and improving. I will no doubt apply for the competition next time around.”

“It feels like it needs to be more "action" music overall. the music needs to drive the pace forward, and it stops and
starts too many times,,, also the final confrontation need to be more epic”
Zacarías M. de la Riva

Top 12 · Fabian Zeidler
Germany
“I am very happy and feel very pleased and honoured, that my music was selected as one of the Second Place Winners! Thanks to you and the other members of the jury for this opportunity!”

“Nice beginning, love the bathtub jump. needs more build up to police almost catching them at 00:40, and the sync
point there feels a little late. it feels like to many starts and stops. Sometimes it is best if we don't catch with music everything we see on screen, and just let the music keep the pace. great thematic development and compositional
skills”
Zacarías M. de la Riva

Message from Zaca

"Overall I thought they were all amazing!!!
Really incredible!!
I would say that probably 8 of 12 would make it to the actual movie as they are, and the other 4 would just need some polish here and there.
Amazing!"
The Winner and Finalists receive feedback from the original composer.
